Stephen leads 24Spins’ editorial team. He has spent the last five years reviewing online casinos and writing about gambling regulation across Europe — with a focus on the Irish market since the Gambling Regulation Act 2024 was signed.
Stephen is responsible for the 24Spins methodology, editor recruitment and training, the corrections policy, and final approval on casino delistings. He personally tests every casino that scores in our top 10.

How We Pay Our Editors
Editors are paid a fixed salary or fixed per-article fee. Editors are not paid bonuses based on traffic, conversions, or commission generated. Editors do not have access to our commission data when scoring a casino. This is documented in their employment contracts and our editorial policy.
Editor Code of Conduct
- No personal accounts at casinos under review. Editors must use dedicated test accounts only.
- Disclose conflicts of interest. Former employment or family connection to any casino must be disclosed before assignment.
- No gifts. Editors do not accept comp’d accommodation, free chips, or other gifts from casinos.
- Source attribution. Every factual claim is attributed to a source (regulator register, casino T&Cs, our own test).
- No silent edits. Material corrections are logged publicly on the page.
- Player safety first. If an editor identifies a casino that may be harming players, they escalate immediately.

What we look for:
- Direct experience operating casino test accounts and writing reviews
- Knowledge of regulatory frameworks (MGA, GRAI, UKGC, Gibraltar)
- Numeracy — comfort with wagering maths, RTP, expected-value calculations
- Native or near-native English (additional languages welcome: Irish, German, Spanish, Finnish, Norwegian)
- Willingness to publish under your own byline (we don’t hire ghostwriters)
